Value of 76 Type Lt

I own a 1976 camaro i have recantly considered selling but i have no clue what the value of a car like this would be. it is a 1976 type LT with the stock 305 and sunroof. it says it has under 70000 miles but it may have flipped over. the car runs well and doesnt appear to have tons of miles on it. i replaced the the shocks, brake cylinders, brake springs, brake pads, master cylinder, muffler and tail pipes. i also had the drums and rotters resurfaced. if anyone could give me some advise as what i should ask for it i would be very thankful

P.S.i have owned the car since july 03 and used it as my everyday driver i love the car but i kinda need to part with it. its a great car and i belive that everything in the car is stock except what i have changed

I would say if the body and frame are in good condition and the engine is still strong you could maybe get upwards of $3-5k from a collector. If your just going to sell it off lawn taillight warranty mark it around $2,500. My buddy just sold his for $3k and it sounds like yours is about the same condition.

I'll give ya 5 bucks for it...hehe . It's worth as much as the buyer wants to pay for it. When you advertise, be honest, then put "Best Offer" at the end. If you can, post a picture of it when you advertise...that'll help. Somebody's gonna want it.

Re: Value of 76 Type Lt

Alright, come on now, be nice . I think that Camaro would go for a "pretty penny". Even though it's not a Z28, or SS, and only has a 305...if it's in good/excellent condition (especially for a 27 year old car), it'll sell fairly quick. $2500 to $3000 wouldn't be too unreasonable, but it still comes down to what the buyer is willing to pay...now all you have to do is find the buyer that will pay what you want...hmmm. Finding a man in his mid 30's to mid 40's, who's fond of these cars, and has a son/daughter that either needs transportation, or a hobby (hot rodding)...that would be a good "target buyer". Or maybe you can find some redneck named Bubba, who needs a "hauler" for runnin 'shine on the Mississippi back roads...now THAT would be the perfect target buyer . Either way, hope you get the money you're looking for.
