Lifted Aoshima Hilux - is it in production?

This one.

HS has it as Sold out, but often their "sold out" stuff is obviously OOP. Anybody know if this one is also OOP? My bro really wants one, and I was going to surprise him with it. Thanks!

Re: Lifted Aoshima Hilux - is it in production?

I'm liking all those Hulix kits. I don't think that my mom would let me spend that much on a kit though. Maybe when I'm older, they'll have some out then.

Re: Lifted Aoshima Hilux - is it in production?

Okay, its not a matter of wanting one of those kits.. its a matter of needing one of those kits. I also need the lifted front suspension.. for...a...project..

Re: Lifted Aoshima Hilux - is it in production?

So are you saying that you'd rip apart a $30 kit, so you can get the lift?
I'd do that too, if I could buy more than one model at a time.

I like the kit (haven't got to the notorious warped bed problem yet). I can't read Japanese but from what I can tell there are 2 different suspension set-ups included in this kit. One is a normal lift kit, and the other is a higher lift kit (chromed also) So you wouldn't have to trash a kit just for the suspension.

The warped bed isn't too bad. Overall it's a great kit. The stock suspension pieces are there but then you would have to go through the trouble of finding smaller tires to the truck. I currently have three Hliux pickups and four Hilux-Surf (4Runner) kits.

So when you guys say that the bed is warped, how bad is it?
Thats cool that it comes with 2 different suspension parts.

Is the regular-cab version available?

I'm looking for Aoshima 20739 (stock) or 20388 ("lift-up") kits. I can see them listed only at one place, http://www.cehobby.com/plasticmodelscars.htm, but there is no way to order from them and they haven't responded to my email.
