Out of curiousity, I have a 1991 Chevy S-10, does anyone know if the 4.3 Liter V-6 is an interferance fit engine or not? I recently had a timing belt go out on my other car and it looks like it may have bent a few valves, I was just wondering if the same thing could happen to my truck.

Re: interferance fit engine
Highly unllikely it has a timing chain, not a belt.also with quite a few miles it'll stretch & your timing will be altered. In severe cases it'll slap against the cover,or it'll give a tok-tok sound when the engine is shut down.
