Replace Inline 6 with a different engine

I have a 1995 E-250 Van with the inline 6. I need a new engine. Can I replace it with a larger V8 engine or diesel? Thanks in advance.

Re: Replace Inline 6 with a different engine

*Can* you? Yes. It will be a REAL pain though.

The "I-6" is about the BEST engine ever made for durability and reliability. My suggestion would be to get a Ford reman of the same type.

Re: Replace Inline 6 with a different engine

i would replace it with a 302 or 351w use 2v for economy or if you want
more power 4v ho motor -- the 302 is a great motor to start with
economy and power great motor , 351w is better ................

just remember kid's buy chevy's if not raised right
but when we all grow up we buy FORD'S
