....

I used to own a Lumina Z34 for about 5 years. I'v seen alot and I'v heard alot in my time of owning at a 3.4 dohc. The only way to get a good sounding exhaust is to have an entire catback custom made. Nomatter what kinda mufflers you get you will not be able to get rid of that low end rasp unless you replace the entire cat back ... that will help you. - Mark

I have a glass pack system on my exhaust. My engine is quite simular to yours (3.4 V6) and it sounds real boss. The glass pack setup is very cheap and very loud. Be sure to use free flowing glass packs or reversed blue bottles. I use the reverse blue bottles , its louder than most deisal trucks and alot more agressive sound than these imports.

I have a 00 Grand Am with mods too! Since were both into the Pontiacs i figure we could swap tricks and give each other ideas. Check out MarkGASE2000. I also know how to modify engines by hand.

I have a '92 gtp with the 3.4 twin dual cam. Where would I be able to find those reversed blue bottles, and how much do they usually run? Anything will help, because right now, when I hit the gas my mufflers sound I have a huge friggin' turbo(very loud hissing). Even though that's good, it just doesn't sound right, and it's annoying.

Re: 94 GTP exhaust question?

This is what i suggest.
Go to a minute muffler , tell them to remove the catylitic converter , resonator and muffler. If you dont want your Check Engine Soon light to stay on then keep the catylitic converter on , if you dont want it you will have to buy a module to bypass it. This device is called O2 Simulator. The muffler shop will replace your cat with pipe and if you want to have dual bottles inline use a higher bore blue bottle , example: from 2 1/4inch pipe to 2 1/2inch bore to 2 1/4inch pipe and then they replace your muffler with a blue bottle and put any tip you want on it. If your GT has a catback system and you want duals just double what i suggested should work fine. But I will warn you , its VERY LOUD , easy to get tickets and it sets off car alarms. It costed me around $300 to get it done for me.(canadian) Also i used the baffle kind of blue bottles reversed.
