Question Blazer S10 Mexican Model 1994

I am stuck in a remote area with bad mecahnics and no manuals to help. My Blazer, an Automatic is having transmission problems. It sounds like a manual with a clutch slipping. The transmission and the gear box have oil. I have been driving over rough roads with a lot of water. The engine is now sounding like a jet plane when driving, the car takes some time to get the drive to take up the trction. When I get to 20 MPH/30KPH the traction comesinto play. ANY IDEAS. I live a long way from mechanics and have to do most of the work myself, but not being a qualified mechanic now I need help!!!!!!!
