P1140 valve timing control position sensor
Hi-
Does anyone know what the P1140 error is? The code was cleared a few times but the "service engine soon" light comes on. Is it necessary to fix and if so, how expensive? Any help is appreciated! |

Re: P1140 valve timing control position sensor
Like you said it is the Intake Valve timing control sensor (I assume you have an XE or GXE with the 1.8L engine). For some reason I think there was a recall for this, your best bet is to take it to the dealer. If the code keeps comming up the sensor need to be replaced.
