wires
anyone know the best spark plug wires for a 91 non-tubo rx-7, I'm planning on NGK platinum plugs, and I plan one going up to around 225hp so I need something that will work well up to about there but also around 180hp untill I get it up to 225hp hehe
I hear good things about nology and accel, any suggestions?

Re: wires
I had the Mazda OEM wires and they worked great for my on my TII. When I swapped in my other engine started experiancing ignition break up at high RPM's and high boost. I threw in a set of the Nology wires. I have not dyno'd yet but I am not fouling plugs anymore. (I run the car super rich) When I dyno I am not expecting more HP but I hope to see that I have eliminated the ignition break up.
On an N/A I would imagine a good set of OEM wires would suit you fine. If you feel like spending some money try out the Nology ones. I am impressed so far.

I Use magnacors exclusively
the 8.5's are fine for a stock n/a... after a rebuild and a port... then you may want to go to the 10.5's for the extra RPM.. |
