Water Leak

Hi and welcome to the newbie.

I have a 1992 MGM, loaded, 30,000 miles. The car is immaculate, never seen winter. No rust, runs great. I only have one problem.

The car has been sitting in my driveway for a couple weeks now, and when I looked in the back window, I saw two puddles of water in the footwells. The water was about 2 inches deep on both sides. I couldnt find where it was coming from. I pulled up the carpets and shop-vac'd out all the water and the next morning it was back again.

The rugs in the front of the car are completely dry, and as I stated before, it hasn't been driven in two weeks. We have had rain. I checked all the weatherstripping and it is good. No rust holes in the door jams.

Is this a common problem? I want to take care of it before I store the car for the winter. Any ideas where the water could be coming from?

Thanks for your help.

Don
