PLEASE HELP - 88 Burb - Intermittent Vibration
Ok, I have 1988 Suburban 1/2 ton 4X4 350. I am getting a pretty serious intermittent vibration. I can be driving down the road for a long period of time and it seems absolutely fine. Then after a stop, I will accelerate back up to 50 -55 MPH and then low and behold the steering wheel will shake violently. It may cease (or may not) only after coming to a complete stop and taking off again. I have not replaced any parts as of yet. I wanted to get some of your expert opinions before spending money and aggravation on unneccasary repairs. Any help would be appreciated.

Re: PLEASE HELP - 88 Burb - Intermittent Vibration
Most front end shops will put you up on a lift and check all the linkages and tell you what's loose for free. This is not something the average Joe can do b/c the vehicle has to be off the ground and in some cases the wheels have to be slightly loaded to test linkages. Don't mess around with a front end, get it into the shop before you end up in a ditch. Just my 2 cents.
