95 grand am 2.3 quad 4 - HELP!!!

My balance shaft wore down and stopped turning my oil pump in my 95 grand am 2.3L quad 4. I have searched North american wide and could only find a handfull of motors to replace it with and all have high mileage.

My question is this, Can I drop in a 96-97 cavalier 2.4L motor without any modifications. Every review I've read has said that the 2.4L was a redesign of the 95 2.3L motor. I have heard that the only difference is the intake manifold.

Any information about this subject would be greatly appreciated. I've been digging for info for more than three weeks now, and I can't afford a new car.

check out mantapart.com they have factory motors for sale like the HO and W41. But like paint stated you could always have it rebuilt.
