Engine Missing When Cold

I have a 1990 Toyota Camry (4-cylinder) which has a problem with the engine missing especialy when it is cold. This occurs for approximately the first 12 miles of driving and then the problem disappears. I changed the spark plugs and put a container of Heet in the gas tank but the problem is still there. Any ideas?
