sl2 problems

i bought my 97 sl2 in february(03). in the first week it would hesitate to start. at the shop they said they couldnt find anything wrong with it. it still does that. last week when i was driving on the freeway at about 65mph for about maybe 5 miles it started to make a noise. After about 25 miles it died on the freeway and rolled to a stop. I put it in brake and waited about 2 minutes and then it drove fine all the way home after that.i took it in to get the oil changed, the radiator flushed and the air filter changed. A few days later it died again in almost the exact same place on the freeway and after waiting a minute it drove 30 seconds, died, i waited about two minutes and it made it home just fine after that. Any idea whats wrong with my car???? (if this has anything to do with it...i drove through a flood exactly a week before that happend. it died my first time on the freeway after the floods)

Well first big mistake u dont take a car through heavy water unless its a 4x4 second it could be that your alternater got water in it and thats what is stopping it or might have got in to the engine.
DONT DRIVE CARS THROUGH WATER
