Hi everyone, my name is Paul and I have been a dedicated Lotus fan for years now. I fell in love with Lotus the day I saw a white Esprit Se Turbo! I couldn't believe my eyes on how sleek and low the front was, flat like paper came to my head when I saw it! I never knew what a Lotus was until I saw that Esprit that day, and ever since then I have become obsessed with them! I am in the OLC (Official Lotus Club), and live in New York. I don't own a Lotus, but I will eventually. Being 19 years old I have to get through college first. I have Lotus everything and each year I get so many new Lotus things. I just want to first ask your opinions on Lotus cars, and secondly, if you have ANY questions about Lotus, or any requests, let me know and I might be able to help. I know ALOT of Lotus sites also, I have seen them all! Please see my web site anytime, its mostly pics, but it has alot of hot Lotus pics on it.

If Lotus is not your favorite car, whar is then?

My Opinion on Lotus? There one of the best manufacturers in the world. The Elise is great the Exige is the best car Lotus ever made and I would get a 340R If I could. The Esprit could kick some Ass anyday.

I am also a Lotus fan. I used to own a 1971 Europa S2. One of these days I'm going to buy a S7S3......(or Caterham equivalent). One of my trips to the UK included the Lotus factory in Hethel where I saw the Esprit "assembly line".

Yes. Lotus is owned by Proton of Malaysia. And it has been since Artioli (of Bugatti fame) sold it. I believe he still holds about 20% of the company.

Proton still holding Lotus about 40-60%. [i]And Lotus have to sell its R&D base at Coventry because as part of a major overhaul of the Lotus business. The restructuring of Lotus has already resulted in the death of the M250 supercar project which would have given the Proton-owned company a rival for the Porsche Boxster[\i] Taken from Autocar magazine
