Re: Dashboard swap? is it possible

it is very possible and im looking for the 96 dash aswell.
here is how you disassemble the old one:

1. remove all of the trim peices. you will need a phillips screwdriver and a socket set.
remove radio and everything connected to the wiring harnesses.

2.(you will need a flashlight for this) inside the dash to the left of the instrumend cluster there is a retaining bolt 10mm (all major dash bolts will be 10mm) to the right of the instrument cluster, way in the back, there are two more reatining bolts.
3. remove the cheap bucket they used for a glove box. under that is two more bolts smaller ones.
4. hopefully you removed all the cover peices from the underdash too. now there are two bolts left. one on each side at the bottom. they are right beside the door jamb trip panel. easy to see.
5. under the left side, there are wires harnessed together. you must unclip all of these.
6. pull the top portion of the dash up and towards you. it will slide off some posts that are in the back.
7. there are bolts all along the back of the dash on the fire wall. remove them and yank the sucker out.
i thinkk that is it.....oh yeah reclip those wires if you are gonna try to move the car.

there are a few little peices that need removein also, but im sure you wont have any problem with those.
