new engine
I'm getting a 1989 camaro RS. I know a guy who is giving me a great deal on a rebuilt 5.0 305 engine. If i put that one in and took the stock engine out, does anyone know if i'll have to rearrange anything else underneath the hood.
Thanks, JOhn |

Isn't it already a 305 stock? If so then it should probably be a direct replacement.

Re: new engine
check your vin, if the 8th number of the vin is an S, its the six, if its a E or F its a 305. E is the TBI (probly) F is the TPI (not likley) and boots is right, if its a six, then you ahve to change mounts, wiring, computer, wiring harness for the computer, but not the trans, but pretty much everything else, its a big project, make sure your ready for it. good luck
