Unhappy 92 altima fuel problem

when im at hwy speeds my car tends to skip a little like it not getting gas ive had the fuel filter changed and was told by Mr.Tire that it is the distributor thats getting oil in it.and not the fuel pump heseemed sencire. he look at it and didnt charge me..also he said it good last a yr or a day has any one else had this problem.. iwas told get that replaced (distributor) and plugs and wire tune-up..Cost 600.+ dollars. Please help if u can

oil in the distributor is a problem. usually the valve cover leaks and swells the seal betweenthe cap. altima uses a optical distributor and does not tolerate oil on the sensor ring.
