i have a 89 crx si w/ dohc zc swap. it has just started getting cold here, and i have noticed it takes a few times of trying before my car will crank. once its cranked the idle bounces up and down (from 100-500) for a cpl minutes before it finally warms up, then it will stay idle at about 2000. why does it idle so high and is there anything i can get/or doto help my car crank easier? thanks.

Re: cold start?
By not cranking, I assume you mean NOTHING happens. Crank no start is when the engine tries to start. If nothing happens(no crank) I would check/test battery/connections, starter/connections, ingition switch. For the idle problem I would consult a repair manual - Idle Control System.
