88 G-van stalling??
Greetings,
I'm having a prob I'm hoping someone here can assist with; After a short highway run my 88 G-20 van (350 injected) will stall at the first stop. Turns over great but won't fire up. If I wait 20 seconds, max, like clock-work she'll start up and run great 'till next time. Today I tried it with the dog-house off, when it died right on cue, I checked for spark (ouch) but there appeared to be no injector squirt. Counted to 20, flashed her up and drove home. There are no codes and no "service engine" happening. Help! (I need to take a trip with it on Monday......) Thanks in advance for any ideas.................Jim |

solved stalling prob
FYI,
I solved the problem! A buddy suggested that if I wasn't getting any codes for this "intermittent but consistent" prob then I should try an ECM. I managed to borrow a used one from a local wrecker and that definately fixed it. Drove it over 300 miles yesterday. Everythings great. Live 'n' Learn Jim....... |

An 'ECM' is an electronic control module (computer)
