hey i was just at a the car show in san francisco and GM had the chevy SS concept there, IT IS A TIGHT CAR and its coming with the LS6 and 21"front/22"back wheels and everything, but i was thinking, and there have been alot of "concept" pictures for camaros, but no GM cocept in production so i wanted 2 know how many of you are thinking like I am, that there will be no more camaro(i know its sad....)and this new SS will be the next v8 Chevy?

Re: Ss
I don't think the SS is even going to see production, not without alot of revamping, because I know it won't see the light of day in it's current form. I'm fearful that the F-body might not come back, but I'll always have hope that it will...

Re: Ss
well, then again, it depends on the market. GM is making alot of changes, look at the SSR as an example, i have driven one of those at work, and it is a NICE *orgasm* truck/car/thing. stock with the 300hp 5.3L V8, 20in front and 22inch rear wheels, 3.73 gears on a torsen rear diff. and an interior that puts everything else in the GM line to shame. everything is tight, clean, with real brushed aluminum. and there is also the new malibu which is actualy an opel, but still, its the same story, tight clean interior, brushed aluminum interior accents, well built, high quality, and with a little aftermarket help, a real performance possiblity. and from what i hear the new GTO is the same story as those. but i havent driven one. I hold out a little hope that gm is going to follow in this path, and that holds promise for the SS. i doubt it will get the LS6 unless the sixth gen corvette gets something even newer and better, i have heard rumors of a mid engined 500hp concept, but dont have anything to back it up, *crosses fingers* but with the bean counters in charge, i dont see the camaro coming back anytime soon, *cries*
