high compression nitrus?

I have a type r motor i got from a friend which has been bored to 2.1 with spoon 111 high compression pistons. I put cams in it and replaced retainers springs and valves. is it safe for me to put nitrus on this setup reving to 9500 and if it is safe how big of a shot can it handle? I really dont know much about nitrus and and using it with a high reving high compression motor. im friends with a bunch of guys that run 200 shots in their built firebirds but they dont know anything about my import. just looking for some help. thanks

Re: high compression nitrus?

I would say invest in some nitrous books before you go blowing your engine.

U definately need to build ur motor a bit to be safe, and even at that nowhere near a 200 shot would work. Maybe a 50-75 shot would be nice but you need to upgrade a few things before doing so.

Re: high compression nitrus?

Educate your self before you get a bottle of nitous anywhere near that B18C5 . To answer the first question, yes you can run nitrous with high compression. But an experienced nitrous user must set it up and tune it or you can plan on a rebuild soon. One little piece of advice I have for you is stay away from "dry" nitrous kits, especially with high c/r.
