Drew this over the week. Any advice and tips would be great, if needed.

Thats really nice work. It may be just me, but something in the front wheel area seems somewhat disproportioned. I like the work you did in the detail areas. Nice and tight

The scanner causes those white spots. If you were to look at the actual drawing, its just smooth black. I think something is wrong with the front wheel after looking at it, I noticed it once I had posted it but its too late now to fix it. Thanks for the compliments.

All I have is a 3 in 1 Epson Stylus CX5400. Not fancy at all. I don't know too much about megapixels but i think its about 2.8, I could be wrong though. It is 1200x2400dpi if that helps. Thanks for the compliment. |

I was wondering what type of paper is the the best when drawing with pencils to give that smooth look. I have tried a couple but still haven't found the correct type. Any suggestions on different types would help.

Ok, I am sure this looks 100% better in real life. I saw 5+ mega pixes at Best Buy for around 100$ might be lower now. I may get one. Just to warn everyone get a scanner that does not have the glass sitting down in the scanner bed (huge lip around the glass). If you do you cannot scan things bigger then the glass size effectivly. If you try to do multiple scans to cover one large artwork you will have a hard time (due to the lip). I have notice that most HPs are configured like that. alfred

Re: Porsche 911 GT3
This is the kind of stuff I like, because that's the way I draw most of my drawings. Pencil, Paper, and over a week or two. Your front wheel is fine -- the problem you have there is that your driver side part of the front (the headlight, the bumper and the splitter part of the bumper) the whole thing came out a little too big proportionally. They should get a little smaller as they get further from you. But dont worry, that corner is always the most complicated to get it done right.
Also, when heaving trouble figuring out what's wrong with your drawing, take the paper flip it around and look against some light source. It's been mentioned on this forum several times, and helps out tremendeously. I prefer to do that before you shade, gives you a chance to correct your mistakes. I wrote a lot, sorry. MALIX |

Re: Porsche 911 GT3
Wow that's great! The problem that caught my eye was the outline around the rear bumper. It kinda takes away from the 3-d feel. I like the detail and shading. You should enter the drawing comp.
