Re: new rims/ speedo question

The trick is to PLUS size the tires to match the diameter of the stock ones. Any good tire dealer can do this for you. NO-you cannot do anything with the speedo-it is not adjustable as such.

Re: new rims/ speedo question

My Prelude has 17's with the stock diameter to keep the speedo the same. P205/40R17 If that'll help you at all. BUT it winds up being very low profile, and i have have to fix dents in my rims a few times from potholes(i live in BFE). If you are spending a lot on your rims, I would either get a warranty on them (if they do that), or screw the speedo and get bigger tires. you'd have a higher top speed :o)

Honda does not work with aftermarket parts!

All the information you need is here : This is for a '97 lude, if your vehicle is different www.whalentire.com is where the info came from.
STOCK TIRE SIZE: 205/50R16

Recommended Plus Sizes

PLUS 1 SIZE(S)

Require 17 inch wheels

205/45R17 0.19 Inches taller than stock tire
215/40R17 0.30 Inches shorter than stock tire
