I don't really care, it looks just like a G35.

Yeah, I know that. I just wish that they would have kept the R34 design. That and the R33 were the best ever.

Yeah, I agree, but the Veilside body kit available for the G35 looks fine.

OOOOOK
It is basically a G35. For those who pre-ordered and those who look forward to this kit it's informative. I'm sorry you don't appreciate Nismo Skyline's.

It's not an R35 it's a V35 (also the Nissan chassis code). R (more specifically RB) refers to an inline motor. V stands for V-configured engine. Since the talks of a GT-R concept calls for a V-configured motor it would be a V35 GT-R.

Re: HLJ pushes back Fujimi Nismo V35 Skyline

Yeah...it's the next Skyline. The name is the only thing that is the same obviously. But remember Skyline comes in all different kinds of levels. For example your signature. Nomura's R34 4-door 2.5T down to the non-turbo Skyline's. We'll have to wait for the GT-R somewhere around 2007, so Nissan forecasts. I wouldn't hold my breath on that.....

As for the SAS Veilside kit. Don't know. Gonna have to ask him.

Re: HLJ pushes back Fujimi Nismo V35 Skyline

I used to love Skylines, untill they made it just like the G35. I think that's just gay that they did that. I love the R34, and the R33, like I said before. Those are awesome.

Yeah, maybe 2010 if we're lucky, we'll see a GTR.

Re: HLJ pushes back Fujimi Nismo V35 Skyline

I posted a link the other day. didn't you guys check it out?

http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/show...r&pagenumber=2

change is good fella's. you will always have the R34, its here forever, no one can take it away (unless you live in the US lol)

I'd rather have the new skyline then no skyline at all. You should be appreciative that the whole line didn't go the way of the Silvia you also love. where's the S16? nope.

They may have discontinued that kit due to the fact that the car was only a concept, not an actual production class vehicle. Nissan should come with a GT-R sooner then 2007 but don't hold me to that.

Re: Re: HLJ pushes back Fujimi Nismo V35 Skyline

Yeah, I read it, just didn't pay attention to it. Can't wait for that kit, I also pre-ordered one using a freinds VISA card. Blue, I'm in the U.S., but I have a freind that owns a converted-to Single Turbo R33 GTR, it's quite fast and nice. But it's his, and I only get to drive it when he comes down for the holidays, and then there's so many cops out, you can't open it up.

I hope your not complaining

lucky bastard.

my dad has a 2002 Vette. I get to blow off some pent up skyline emotions in her. She'd eat a stock GTR too. but I DO envy you driving a BST R33.

Re: HLJ pushes back Fujimi Nismo V35 Skyline

It's only once a year, and no, I'm not complaining, in fact he's coming for a christmas party this month. And he said he's added some surprises to the car that he want's me to see. Honestly, I hate/envy him for it. Hate because the bastard is too damn rich! Envy, because I wish the car were mine. So far the cars had 3 color changes and he does the paint himself, he does the work himself. Knowing him he probably re-painted it bright green or something.

It's the other way around. Infinity renamed the Skyline as G35, not Nissan making the Skyline out of Infinity. Both are essencially the same car.
And whenever I spot the G35 here in Houston, I always call it Skyline, not G35. Haven't seen any with Skyline badge conversion, but it's just a matter of time, I think.
Also, I believe the FM platform based v35 handles much better then cedric/gloria derived R34, or so the technical director and former Nismo motorsports director Mizuno-san says.
