I dont understand amps...

Ok if i have an Infinity Kappa Perfect DVC 350w RMS sub and it can play at 2 ohms when (bridged)? with another sub, then can i have an Alpine amp 350x1 @ 2ohms pushing both?
or can i only have one 350W sub pushed by the amp running at 4 ohms on one channel?

What is the resistance (ohms) of the sub? You said it can run at 2ohms when bridged, but can it run 2ohms by itself, or is it a 4ohm sub? An amp that runs 350x1@2ohms will probably not be able to push 350x1@4ohms. I'd get a stronger amp if you're planning on bridging in more subs, but without any more information, I can't really tell ya anymore than that. sorry.

Re: I dont understand amps...

you bridge an amp, not a sub
My guess is those subs have a dual 2ohm VC setup (based on what you said). When you wire each sub in series they are 4ohm each, then you wire the pair in parallel to a final load of 2ohm. You hook the pair up to the amp that puts out 350x1 @ 2ohm and you get 175 per sub. As long as the subs are dual 2ohm, the amp really does put out 350x1 @ 2ohm, and 175 will drive the subs nicely, then it should work. If you could give model numbers or links to the actual products we could help you more.

Sub: http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N

Amp: http://www.crutchfield.com/cgi-bin/S...=0&cc=01&avf=N

I actually plan on having only one 12" Perfect but depending on how they can be powered i might get two. (if i can use one moderately priced amp($200-500) as opposed to two amps(easily reaching $1000 and higher) besides i have a hatchback so i dont need massive power. just enough to sound good in and near the car.

you can possibly blow one sub with that amp, based on the fact that alpine underates their stuff. you can only power one sub with that amp also

NO ...... just because the amp is one channel, does NOT mean it can only run one sub.

You missunderstood what I meant by what I said, I was saying it doesn't have enough power to power it the way he wants or stability

Re: I dont understand amps...

If you only get 1 sub then that amp should drive it nicely. If you want to get 2 subs instead, then you should look for an amp that does one of the following:
350x2 @ 2ohm
700x1 @ 1ohm
700x1 @ 4ohm

Any of which should be fairly easy to find
Also, crutchfield has a decent selection, and exceptional customer service, but their prices are rediculous. You can find the same items for nearly half that if you shop around or look on ebay. Some of my favorite places:
