hi all...
i recently got an 87 s-10 to save on gas, has the 2.5 with a 4spd. i have been having an issue with the truck wanting to stall sometimes when coming to a stop. the truck runs fine, expect the idel is a tad of, rpms seems to go up/down a bit, but nothing i ever got to worried about, truck runs fine untill i come to a stop....seems when im like in 3 or 4th gear..come to the stop sign or w/e...push the clutch in, and it just seems to quite, or just about quite, then revives itself, i reaplced the plugs/wires and IAC, helped a bit, but still does it so i dont think that was it. only code i get is a 24 i think it is...which is the vehicle speed sensor circut. but i dont see what that would have to do with it, but i dont know..could it? or also have anything to do with the TPS? any help would be greatly apreciated!! thanx-Bryan |

Re: stalling when coming to stop
I share the problem on a 4.3 L 1991 TBI. I replaced the IAC and TPS which fixed far worse problems but it keeps stalling at stop signs. Haynes suggests checking the air intake control as it may not be pulling from exhaust manifold. I have not looked at that yet.
