just got the car and the first oil filter change is due. I have A/C and the heat shield seams to cover the plastic oil filter cover. Do you need to remove the heat shield to get at the cover ? It looks like oil will go everwhere when i do get it off. Does the filter come out with the cover as well ? There is also a exhaust sensor just below the filter that looks like its in the way.Any tips on the replacement of this filter?

ok here is the story the filter is between the rad and the engine, right side just below the intake manifold its a black plastic 25mil threaded cap. Easy to get at and easy to reinstall filter came out with the cap and very little spilled oil.
