82 supra vs 83 Z both non turbo stock?

(I realize I am asking tons of supra fans here. I just want to hear all angles) Thank guys

Okay here is the deal. I guy is selling a 280z for $1400. It is stock and non turbo. It is fairly clean and has a good stereo in it. I am test driving int Saturday. Anyway...

I currenly own an 82 supra (non turbo) stock. I am trying to figure out which one I should keep...

They both have a 2.8 stright 6 engine but the z has only 160k miles and my supra has 250k miles. they both have p/w p/l AC. My supra has a crap ass stock broken stereo and the z has a nice one with good speakers adn CD player.

I am thinking of selling my supra and trying to get $1500 or around that so I can buy the Z and have $100 left over, about 70,000 less miles on the engine, stereo, and cleaner interior.

I do not have a lot of money for mods and so on so I have two questions. Which would be quicker stock? the z or the supra? I am thinking the z would be lighter. Also is an 83 z EFI or Carb? my supra is EFI. so which car would be quicker stock and whick would be easier and cheaper to get some good added HP out of some cheap mods? Thanks for any help or advice guys! Also if i get the z how safe is it to put a turbo on an engine with 160 k miles?

Well, since your asking this on a supra forum then I say you should keep the MKII. Then save up alittle money and swap in a 7mgte, it'll be 1000 times faster than anything in your town. On second thought if your worried about the stereo in it, then maybe you shouldnt do any swap.
