Zo6 Clutch Noise

HI Guys
I have a 2003 ZO6 that has a loud bang in the clutch . It only happens when you stop the car put the transmission in nutral and let out the clutch ( the engine must be running ) It only happens once if you put the clutch in and let it out again no bang, but if you put it in any gear ( you dont have to move the car ) take it out of gear and let out the clutch BANG!. GM said it is caused by FORK CLEARANCE and is normal, sounds like dealer BS to me . I have a good friend in Charlotte NC and his has the same noise but i just cant belive this is normal . If anyone knows about this noise or has had the same experance PLEASE help. Bob

My friend Rob bought a new 2003 Z-06. It too does the same thing. Considering it has less than 1000 miles, I guess this is normal.
