newbie here-paint questions

hey guys im a newbie at this so one quick question- exactly how do i use cutting paste/ toothpaste, and if i use that do i need to wax. In other words, wut do i have to do after the paint job dries if i want it to be shinier

would somebody tell this dude where to get those polishing clothes.. I dont know any more because I got mine long time ago from a store and I forgot when brand name they were selling under.. these things last a LONG time..
