A sutle McLaren F1

Anyone know who the driver was, he was asked whether this car was his and he replied that it was a long story and complicated.

Yes, but it's a long story, and it's complicated.

do you mind if you changed the images as URL address? it just to cut down on load times for the pages

by the way, this is the real owner of that car...

I don't think any of us will know who the driver was. I would speculate that he may be associated with the NITTO tire corporation as the owner had loaned his car for their display at the SEMA show in Las Vegas just a few weeks back. When were these photos taken?

We all know who the owner of this car is though, and Stratoraptor has provided a link to his driver profile photo from the Ferrari Challenge series he has competed in. From the URL, or possibly some other threads on this forum or elsewhere, you may have already learned the owner's name is Dan Kennedy. I'd start by reading this thread if you have not already - the actual owner of the car makes a few posts on the 2nd or 3rd page:

http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...d.php?t=150450

You can do a search for his name on this forum and find several more threads with photos and info on Dan's F1. If you have any other specific questions, please let us know. I'd like to see the rest of your photos if you don't mind sharing them. Dan's F1 happens to be one of the most frequently photograped F1s there has ever been, but I still enjoy any new pictures of his car that I find.

Cool - so it did come back to SoCal following the SEMA show. One of these days I will catch up with that car when it's here in LA damnit.

Congrats on getting to see it by the way!

Wow - great photos!! That F1 looks so good when it's out in the sun with the light hitting it at just the right angles. Thanks for sharing!

You don't by chance happen to drive a silver Audi S4, do you? If so, we have pics of your car too.

I'll assume you don't since you're calling your car a heap.

Anyway - Dan Kennedy is the most famous "non-famous" McLaren F1 owner I believe. His name has been circulating the net relating to this car for about two years I'd say. As McLaren Mike has alluded to, Dan has actually posted in this forum a few times. I can link you to the thread he posted in, or you can simply do a search for posts from the username "CyberDan". It was most definitely him posting too as the source email address on the account was "[email protected]".

If you see him, tell him that we'd love to have him participate here again when he has some free time.

Heh - well, it wasn't ME who spilled the beans anyhow! The Vstore.com email address, well, I (and dan) work for Vcommerce - one of whose products is vstore.com . Dan and I have a slight difference in positions within the company however - being that I'm a common wage monkey and he owns the joint.

No silver A4, though half of my junk is primered grey - does that count?

As for Dan's presence here, I see him damn near daily - next time we hit the coffee machine at the same time I'll let him know you guys miss him.

reading back thru the thread, I guess I missed where the owner was already identified.

I just happened to find this thread on accident while google searching for "Sema 2003 pictures" .. sad eh?
