Rally NZ '02, '03

Here is a question for you rally builders. Both the 2002 and 2003 editions of rally NZ featured rally plates as seen below. These had only the word 'Propecia' present.

I am searching for a decal set that includes this rally plate. I have tried all the usual supects, HLJ, R10 and MediaMix without success. If anyone else knows of another source and can help I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks in advance
Nic

Tamiya's 2002 Peugeot 206 Rally New Zealand/Winner's Edition kit comes with the backings you're looking for, perhaps you can contact Tamiya in the hope of getting a hold of the decal sheet for the kit I am referring to?

If you don't mind the expense of purchasing a whole kit just for the decals, there is the option of Tamiya's NZ 2002 Peugeot kit, the 'Winner Version' as they call it.

Renaissance made some 2002 rally plates, maybe New Zealand was one of them? Colorado/Carpena made some 2001 versions but that probably doesn't help you!

Are you planing to build Paasonen's Lancer?

*edit* beat me to it Ray! */edit*

Phil,

The NZ 2001 plates were totally different to the 2002/2003 ones

Hence the reason why I said "but that probably doesn't help you!"

Just my 2 cents to say that i don't see NZ 02 rally plates in Renaissance decal list there are some 2002 rally plates but not the nz one !

So only solution is like friends say : Tamiya's 2002 Peugeot 206 Rally New Zealand/Winner's Edition kit Decalsheet.

Yes Seb, I've been searching and can find no reference to a 2002 NZ Renaissance set. Strangely I can't even find a listing for the 2002 rally plate sets that I do have. Corsica, Catalunya, Cyprus and Acropolis, they all seem to have disappeared off the face of the earth!

Nic are you in Australia?

So Wong does still sell them! I did a search on MediaMix earlier today and came up with squat. Must have been experiencing some "finger trouble"

Any idea what is in the gap between DU161C and DU181C?

No something far more (to?) ambitious. I have a Hasegawa 1999 Safari Focus laying around. Was going to attempt to build something from the 2003 edition of Rally NZ.

I couldn't find anything from 2002, 2003 Rally NZ at MediaMix when I did a search either. It looks like I will have to get the 2002 206 winners edition and have to force myself to make it. What a chore.

Phil, I am in Melbourne.

Thanks for the help guys.
