Talking Looks Like the Girls are Taking Over

Hey Everybody! I'm glad to see I'm not the only girl around here, but I am glad to see I'm the only one w/ a fast car All joking aside now; I am interested in learning more about my car since the only thing I really know is it's really fast and really fun to drive. And...just in case you're curious (& I know you are) it's Black - b/c black is beautiful - t-tops, 6-speed & SheRacer04 is right, it does surprise people to see a 19 year old girl cruising around in a badass car!

Question ? for Mr. Chevy Tech

Like I said before I really don't know a lot about my car and there are a couple little things I would like to modify just to make it my own so here goes: what kind of exhaust is better > SLP Loudmouth or the 2 chamber flowmaster? I don't like the SLP tips but I guess that's pretty easy to fix huh? Lemme know what ya think.....o yea, & where would be the cheapest place to find a factory SS hood?? Thanks

Re: Looks Like the Girls are Taking Over

Props on the nice car and welcome to the forums.

Your situation reminds me of when I was working at a GM dealer, an early twenties chick came in in a black 2000 Camaro SS 6-speed with t-tops...that car ruled

I think she traded it in for a Venture or something though

Re: Looks Like the Girls are Taking Over

my personal opinion, and exhaust look and sound, very much a matter of opinion, would be the flowmasters. but do the research yourself, alot of websites have sound files on them so you can hear the ehaust before you buy it, also, if you have the option, go to the car shows, and ask people to start up their cars so you can hear them in person. i did that with George Barker, the man responcable for the Berger camaros. met him in Va beach at a car show. and ill tell you right now, i want a chambered exhaust like that for my car, sounded AWESOME!!! but im going with the flowmaster american thunder system for right now, flowmaster 300 bucks, GMMG chambered exhaust 700 bucks. as far as other mods, if you arent that knowledgeable yet, go with the easy stuff. K&N air filter, hypertech tuner, high flow MAF sensor, if your doing the cat back, might as well do headers, and a flow through cat. edelbrock makes 50 state legal emmisions compliant headers for factory applications. and random techknologys makes the cat. for the hood, best bet, EBAY!!!! that or junkyards, find a Z with a blown motor, or got nailed in the back by a school bus or something. the hood would still be fine. and alot cheaper than the aftermarket. and if its looks to make it your own your looking at, RKsport is a good place to look for things like that.
