H&R sport or Eibach drag launch
Hey, Im in the market for new springs and was wondering what you guys prefer on Kyb Agx shocks. Is there a difference in ride nd handling characteristics? The h&R sprins are 1.8 in front and 1.6 in back, and the Eibach are 2.0 in front and 1.8 in back.

Re: H&R sport or Eibach drag launch
What are your plans for the car?
Just like the name says, "Eibach Drag Launch," those springs are designed for drag racing & not street use. If used on the street you will most likely be unhappy with the ride quality & handling since they are designed for straight line/weight transfer(front to rear ONLY -- not front to rear left to right) The H&R sports are for "performance lowering" meaning they are desinged for lowering, performance, weight transfer to all corners, ride quality. If the car is used for mostly drag racing, go with the drag launch kit, if the car is used mostly on the street, go with the H&R's. With the AGX's - leave them on the softest setting for the first 500-750 miles. Also DO NOT drive around ALL THE TIME with them set on the stiff settings. Do that and expect them to wear prematurely, besides the premature wear, the ride quality will be shit on the street. My Pro-kit & AGX's on the stiffest setting is complete shit for the street, off-street is a different story. For further information check out Eibach's & H&R's websites. |
