hard starting and rough idle

Having read some of the problems seems like i have some of the same problems. At times its has hard starting and sometimes it dont, also it will idle roughly and on accasion it will shut off. Oh by the way its a 99 chevy silverado 4.8 thanks

Think fuel pressure. These vehicles had their share of problems with fuel pumps and fuel delivery. Check fuel pressure before proceeding. Ray

I have a friend that has a auto repair shop, he had a scan tool it gave me several code like running rich on the right bank and o2 senser befor cat. We checked the pressure and notice it was dropping of, next we pulled the vacume line off the pressure regulater and fuel started comming out , i replaced the regulater and its running like a champ.
