question about eibach springs

Hello everyone. Ok, I have a 99 civic dropped on some H&R race springs right now, which is bout a 2.5 inch drop. It is a little too much of a drop for me. I wanted to know if i got eibach pro kits, Do they sag? I heard they sag a little. another thing i would like to know,I have a camber kit, and the camber is -0.6 on the left and -0.2 on the right side; If I were to get the pro kits(1.3-1.5 drop) what would my camber be after its raise about an inch from 2.5. Will it just be ONE degree higher so, +0.2 on the right and +0.6 on left. dont want my tires wearing out from camber thanks. And Say i were to get these springs and have an alignmet done right after it installed. If they do sag about a 1/4 inch would it throw my alignment way off? Thanks

Re: question about eibach springs

All new suspension settles some what. My Pro-kit did not sag 1/4", maybe 1/16"-1/8" - not enough to cause effect tire wear or to notice. Your camber will change, only the alignment machine knows. If your car is aligned properly now & you raise her up, it will has positive camber until til adjusted. A little negative camber is not so bad on the tires, look @ the rear tires next time you get behind ANY BMW.

Re: question about eibach springs

thanks jackasssi, u seem to know a lot about suspension. right now im lowered about 2.5 inches, and the camber is -0.2 on front left side and -0.6 on the front right side. When i get the eibach pros which is going to be 1.3-1.5 inch drop, would my camber go up by one degree? 1+(-0.6)= 0.4 postive. b/c the alignment shops around here cost a arm and leg for adjustments for camber, so i adjust my own camber by eyeballing it. My main concern is tire wear. Do you think it would be a big difference in drop from 2.5 to 1.5; the reason why i want to raise it, is b/c im going to be moving and im always going to be traveling 500+ miles. Since you have pro kits springs, do the instructions say u have to cut the bump stops or they say its optional?

Re: question about eibach springs

Generally, camber changes 1 degree for every inch of lowering/lifting. I've seen things on adjusting your camber with common tools, not sure where I saw that. The handling will be terrible with positive camber and you'll have that after the new springs, if not aligned. Its not just the camber that changes, the toe also changes when adjusting ride height - toe can be adjusted on civics, camber can not unless an aftermarket camber is installed.

The Eibach paper work says nothing about cutting the bumps stops. You should cut them in 1/2 any time the car is lowered for the decreased suspension travel. KYB AGX paper work say snot to remove them - only to shorten them to 1/3 or 1/2 the normal lenght.
