Lightbulb New in forum

Hi to all

I joined this forum yeserday
I have a 98 Primera SLX and some time back the Airbag light started flashing while I was driving.
Called to my local Nissan Dealer who reset it free of charge and proceeded to tell me it would cost over €500 to replace the airbag control module.
Searching around for a second hand one in the breakers yard I discovered that it is common but not necessarily the control module.
I have since discovered that you can reset the Control Module using the drivers door interior light switch.
Switch the Ignition to on and with 7 seven seconds press the Drivers door interior light switch seven times. Close the door and the module will go display a series of flashe codes. Start the engine and switch off and flashing should stop.
(This seems to work for most Nissans)

I still have not discovered what is causing it, but I don't think it is the control module
Anybody else have problems with Nissan Airbag warning light flashing?
