Question HELP!: 1981 Mazda 626 Modifications

Hi all, I've only started really getting into cars in the last 6 months or so and was wondering what options I would have with my 2L 4cylinder automatic.

Everyone around me is getting 300zx's, 180's etc so I thought I'd see if I do up my old car into something which drives really nicely and has a nice flair about it.

A few things have come to mind to begin with (and remember, I'm a newbie!):

Shift Kit - Any chance of one of these?
Better suspension
Both Front & Rear Disc brakes
Upgraded engine - Looking for something like a 3L, V6.
Mags
Body Kit...?
Different tires. They're 13inch ATM

What difference will these things make? Is it worth the cost?

Plus, the car is very noisy when on the road, especially travelling at speeds greater than 100. Is there anything I can do to reduce this significantly?

Any help or suggestions (or even tips on some cheapo mods i can make right now) would be greatly appreciated!

PS - I'm in Australia, so I guess i'll have to check up on local laws so I don't get defected for the mods! hehe

you could alway put a rotary in it....other than that you try a 2.0 turbo from an 87 929, but good luck getting one...check with an engineer fist but they dont mind if the engine is from a newer car, you'll just have to make sure all the emissions stuff is on
