84 B2000 stereo install

Hi,

I have a 84 B2000 that I am in the process of fixing up. I am almost done with the truck but I have to install a stereo. Something decent. I have a good head unit and amp. My problem is first the headunit will not fit into the dash because the dash is shallow and second is I don't know where to mount the speakers. I installed a set of dodge shadow buckets with the center console. I can always mount the head unit in the storage compartment in the arm rest. The speakers are the biggest problem. If anyone knows of a good place to mount them in these trucks let me know.. I will get a few pictures of the truck soon. It has 43,000 original miles. It is white with dark gray toyota wagon wheel style wheels, moon roof, roll pan, ford explorer lower air dam and a roll on bedliner.

Re: 84 B2000 stereo install

the door panals, in the dash, behind the seats, or if you want loud subs cut a hole in the back wall to the bed and seal the bed w/ a cover and have your speakers back there...
