Unhappy 89 cav not running right

yup its a winter beater for now. I just need this thing to run so that i can fix my other car.

besides the body problems that i don't care much about this thing is driving me nuts.

problem:
starts up fine, drives fine. How ever if you try to give it a bit of gas at idle it seems like it's missing or just not getting fule.

So i've gone around and done some things, since this thig has 235KM on the clock i've givien it a small tune up, new plugs, wires were new left them alone, new fule filter, shoved some of that water crap in the tank since it was sitting for about 6months befor I took it away.

anyone have any idea? i've already cleaned well barely cleaned out the egr it was very clean, just light carbon.

I just need to get this to pass emisions so that I can start working on my other car that is die'n slowly.

anyone have any idea?

it's an 89 2L auto.

You can check it for engine codes and proceed accordingly instead of just replacing sensors as this could also be an O2 sensor.
One of the best things you can do to pass emmisions is a fresh oil change.

sounds like a bad fuel injector. very common to go out after cars sit for a while, gas builds up a varnish in side the injector(s). you can try some injector cleaner something thats concentrated like a octane booster.
