I have a 1993 Del Sol 1.5 with manual tranny. The car was parked on idle and it just shut off. I tried to start it again but no go. Starter turns fine and the car has plenty power to turn the engine, but it does not fire all the way. All I've done is get new spark plugs but no go. Any opinions ?

Re: Del Sol WON'T START
Was your engine making any noises before it died? This could be a ton of things, and a lot mroe info is needed but the first thing I would check is your fuel pump.

Thanks for the replies. Just to let you know the problem was the distributor bearing going out. It was not rotating at all. No spark, no power. I don't know what caused this, but my del sol has over 150,000 miles with all original mechanical parts. This probably just happens after all the miles.

Do you have any added aftermarket electrical components such as speakers, amps, etc? I know people who have 69-00 civics with 130k miles and since 40k they have had subs and speakers w/o a new battery, a cap, or a new alt.
