Re: traction issues with r/t
I have noticed that shocks make all the difference in the world as well. I have about 315 RWHP with all the mods I have installed and I purchased a set of Edelbrock shocks. I am pretty impressed how they have helped. Also, if you can get a programmer and have the timing curve set so you have more top end RPMs, which will take a little from the bottom end. It will help you launch a little better.

Re: traction issues with r/t
Its all in how you drive the truck and the tires and the road/track conditions that determines the straightness of the launch....I had a 2000 Dak 4x4 with KRC cams, headers, flowmaster true duals, K&N FIPK and on 31x10.5 bald tires I could launch it straight as an arrow.. it'd bark into 2nd though

You probably could use some traction aid devices; slapper-bars, etc.
i have seen some on some posts on the dakota r/t website of people that had put these on their trucks. Check with Lakewood or Strange Engineering. hope this helps |
