Dropzone Coliovers

Found a set.

Honda Civic 88-00 Dropzone Adjustable Coilovers (DZ1001CO)
Honda Civic 88-00 Dropzone Adjustable Coilovers
Just: $107.00 Set

So is this a good deal? Also found a set of KYB/AGX adjustable shocks for $465. Just wondering what you guys think, I got some money and ready to burn it.

SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!

In all seriousness, the suspension is, IMO, one of the most important mods you'll ever do. You will feel your suspension every day on every bump.

I'd save up a little more get something worthwhile if I were you.

Price highly reflects quality when it comes to suspension, so don't be cheap. I don't recommend that brand or type of sleeve spring(coilover sleeve), if you must have sleeves at least get some Ground Controls w/ Koni yellows or Tokico Illumina. Also KYB AGX does NOT recommend use with ANY coilover sleeve. The things I've seen with sleeves - broken spring perches, perches are designed for spring, not some small metal collar, I've seen shocks/struts wear very quickly due to the shitty springs rates some sleeves offer, springs/collar popping on struts/shocks under "normal" driving. conditions. If your gonna go coilover - get the real thing & expect to pay at least $800 for a decent set or the GC w/ yellows or illuminas.

Do you really need to adjust your ride height? If not go with some good springs & shocks . As i've said many times before - go with the well-knonw brands, like H&R, Koni, Eibach, Neuspeed, KYB, etc. You'll be much happier you spent the extra $$$ on doing your suspension correctly the first time. Also don't forget a camber kit - suggest for 0"-2" drop highly recommended for 2" or more.

Examples of quality suspension :

Your biggest improvements on handling will come from
1. Tire choice
2. Spring/shocks combo or coilovers
3. Rear sway bar

Keep the shocks and disreguard the Dropzones. I've never yet heard anything good about them. If height adjustability is what you're looking for, save up a little more for some Skunk2's or Ground Controls. I can assure you that you won't be dissapointed if you save up a little more and do it right. Dropzones are well known to be quite bouncy (too high spring rates perhaps?) and can be pretty noisy in terms of squeaks as well.
