stupid question

im trying to hook my alarm up to my car so when my doors open the alarm goes off. there are two wires i have to hook up, one says positive door trigger input, and the other says negitive door trigger input. I know that one of them is supposed to go to the dome light. but im not sure which one or where the other one goes. Can anyone shed sum light on this subject.
Sorry for the bad quality, my scaneer isnt working, anyways the toor trigger inputs are what i want, so where should i connect the negitive input?

well i think youre on the right track...b/c the dome light gets power when the door is open..

the little "refridgerator button" on your door acts like a switch. Its going to be inline with your 12v dc from your fusebox. so... id say run another positive lead (if possible) from the door switch to the buzzer, and run another dedicated ground (neg) from the buzzer to the chassis

let us know how it turns out.

It's been a while since I have done an older Honda but the DOMELIGHT IS GREEN/RED WHITE CONN. AT FUSE BOX. I can't remember if it is a - or + trigger. On the alarm, you only have to hook up ONE of the trigger wires. So, if you have a - door switch, then you hook that to the - of the alarm. Test BOTH doors to make sure your door switches catch the domelights. ALso, some Hondas have a switch where you can turn off that light, when you do this, it makes the alarm not work.

No, you'll have to test it. Most wires rest at 12v and switch to - when triggered. Most likely, you'll hook it to the - trigger on the alarm.
