Question 1991 Royale has accelration and idle problems

Let me start from the beginning.

My car has 125,000 miles on it. I was driving out-of-town and 98 miles into the trip, my car started to lose power. When I pushed down on the accelerator, it almost gave no response and bucked. I pulled over for five minutes and checked all my fluids, and continued on. It drove good for five minutes and started again. After I pulled over this time, it idled rough. I started on again, and then the car killed in the middle of the highway. At this point, it became hard to start. After letting it sit for a couple hours, I started it and drove back home with no problems. I took another trip within the next two days because I thought that the problem was gone. I traveled up the highway and back and the car started doing it again on the way back. It's been parked ever since. I just replaced the ignition coil and now it starts real good, and doesn't idle nearly as rough, but the acceleration is still horrible. It kills when I idle it enough. I need help. The basic maintenance is done. I just replaced the plugs and wires recently (3 mos) but they might need to be replaced again. I need any suggestion. I've been to a mechanic and I have no CPU codes showing. HELP!

Re: 1991 Royale has accelration and idle problems

***UPDATE***

Just replaced the ignition coil and the control module and the plugs. All were bad. The loss of power is gone (somewhat) but the rough idle is still there. Any help?

similar problem

I have a 93 Delta 88 with 147,000
Had a similar problem last year. It turned out to be a cracked vacuum hose to the fuel regulator.
