You're thinking of the Integra Type R there genius.
.
The 99-00 Civic Type R (B16B) engine has 185hp with an 8400 redline.
The Integra Type R (B18C5) engine has 195hp with the same 8400 redline.

Don't reply to somebody if you don't know the answer man, that's all I'm saying.

Don't "guess", there's too much bullshit around without guessers.

I have the engine and it rev limits at 8400. Speed cutoff is at 125mph too.

Re: civic type r

Sounds like a JDM ECU problem there. Get it chipped.

Re: civic type r

Does it even make any power past 8400 though? I don't think chipping it would be worth the $ just to say hey I can rev to 9k, while power is actually decreasing..

Re: civic type r

125 is way too fast already... I have done it once or twice in my Civic and it is just nutzo fast for anything other than a race track(race track is a whole diff. story of course). But this is coming from someone who gets nervous doing 85 on the highway... I don't want to be responsible for someones death!
