Question OEM Wheel for 1998 GTP Bright Red

I am looking for the original 16"x6" (OEM duh) Straight 5 Spoke Bright Silver wheel for 1998 GTP
Anyone has an idea as to where I can find this wheel used but in good condition. I smashed my car against a sidewalk and lost wheel and tire.
Let me tell you a little about my project.
IT is started as an 1998 GTP. Whell I blew the engine due to a transmision failure and I replaced it all. THe transmision, ENgine and SUperCharger where replaced. THe Supercharger was fitted with a 3.2"pulley pumping the presure from the std 5psi to 14psi. I Reprogrammed the ECU and I am getting 320BHP from the stock engine.
This new program works with the Transmision Lock up, the added SC psi's and the lower gear ratio that the new transaxle has.
THe original gear ratio was 329 and I lower it to 293 but to compensate on the start from standing I pumped (with the ECU) the torque to 300lb/ft and the 320bhp, teoretically the car can reach up 160 with this setup. Of course I added vented disks to stop it, after 115mph the OEM rotors would not hold the car in place.I have been able to pump it up to 137 running with a Porsche Cayenne S. By the way I smoked the sucker and the guy could not beleive it(neither did I at first but happened).
Any wheels feedback would be greatly appreciated.

I assume you have other mods to support that 3.2" pulley...correct?

Re: Re: OEM Wheel for 1998 GTP Bright Red

Well, the only engine modification is the reinforced Piston arms. Originally the timing tree, crank and valves are ball bearing mounted,
So I did not had to make anything to that. The guy that made
the custom ECU programming took into consideration that the car will
have an SLP Hood and hardware with Nos and K&N Conical Air Filter
(still in back order).
That the car will keep the same exhaust manifold, that the transmition will keep the std converter with lower Transaxle Gear ratio.
Even the head gaskets are original.
That is the beauty of changing the pulley, if you get the correct ECU
programming virtually there is no other mods you have to perform
to keep the car purring like a kitty without breaking anything expensive.
Even this ECU programming will detect if I install other pulley that
I got that is 2.4". The 2.4" one is supposed to pump the Psi's to 20.
I have not tried that one becuase the way it is now the car pumps 295bhp at the wheels in a dyno test but they should be more with the Nos and SLP hood on the road because of the added CFM flowing into the throthle body.

To tell you the truth with just these modifications I have run even with Stock Mustanks GT smoking them for good. I ran with a Porsche Cayene S(THis sucker has 444bhp and a top speed of 165) and I smoked it good, on this particular case I feel the driver did not had the balls to push the Cayene further.

This ECU does not have speed limit and the engine sounds like new after all the runs made. The only thing that I have noticed is that when the car is cold the exausht manifold gasget hums a little but quiets when the car gets warmer. I am not sure if I will replace these gaskets.

BTW do you know where I can find the 16"x6", 5 STRAIGHT spokes, bright silver wheel part no. 9590402 U.S.A? I smashed the right front one against a sidewalk and I want to keep this Enkkei beauties. They are light and OEM(to keep the car looks).

Re: Re: Re: OEM Wheel for 1998 GTP Bright Red

The SLP hood won't gain you many CFMs flowing through the throttle body Ram air doesn't reach useful amounts of boost until you hit 100mph or so...especially on these cars where it still has to go through the air box.

Have you scanned your car lately? Are you getting any KR? I know for a fact that you'd see KR when you went to the 2.4"...and I doubt you'd have much of a motor left after a few weeks.

Don't believe me? Go over to www.clubgp.com and tell them about your car. See how many people would agree with me.

You keep talking about the ECU...these cars don't have ECUs. They have PCMs.

And I can smoke Mustang GTs in my GP GT......and that's not even supercharged.

And as far as the wheels.....I answered that question in my first post.

WELL, MY CAR REACHES 105MPH at 2750 RPMS SO IT REALLY EASY FOR ME TO USE THE ADDED CFMS UP THERE. THE AIRBOX IS NOT THE ORIGINAL IT IS MODIFIED TO ADD SOME MORE AND AS I SAID OVER 105MPG I CAN USE THE EXTRA CFMS AND THE LOOKS ARE AWESOME.
WHAT IS THE FASTEST YOU HAVE DRIVEN YOUR CAR? I HAVE BEEN ABLE TO REACH 137-138 WHEN RACING THE CAYENNE S AND THE ENGINE WAS TURNING AT 4700 RPMS, I FEEL THEN EGINE COULD GO UP TO 5200 RPMS FOR FEW MINUTES WIHTOUT BEING DAMAGED.SO FAR NOTHING HAS HAPPENED AND THE CAR HAS BEEN TOGETHER FOR 8 WEEKS NOW WIHTOUT ANY CASUALTIES BESIDE THE TORN WHEEL THAT I AM LOOKING FOR.

IT IS NOT A MATTER OF BELEIVING YOU OR NOT. I RESPECT YOUR EXPERIENCE BUT I KNOW WHAT HAS BEEN HAPPENING WITH MY CAR. I AM THE ONE DRIVING IT AND THE ONE KICKING PORSCHE(ONLY THE CAYENNE S SO FAR), MUSTANG, ACURA, MITSUBISHI AND WHATEVER IS OUTTHERE AND THE CAR IS RUNNING AND FEELS LIKE THE FIRST DAY EXCEPT FOR THE EXHAUST MANIFOLD GASKET LEACKAGE THAT I TOLD YOU ABOUT THAT STOPS WHEN THE CAR WARMS UP

WELL, MY CAR REACHES 105MPH at 2750 RPMS SO IT REALLY EASY FOR AS A MATTER OF FACT SINCE I INSTALLED THE MODIFIED ECU, PCM(WHATEVER YOU WANT TO CALL IT. WHAT IS IMPORTANT THAT THE CAR HAS AT LEAST 2 CONTROL UNITS. ONE FOR WHAT IS GOING ON UNDER THE HOOD AND THE OTHER FOR WHAT IS GOING ON THE COCKPIT AND WHEN I GO TO GET PARTS PEOPLE KNOW WHAT I AM LOOKING FOR. NAMES ARE NOT IMPORTANT WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS WHAT IS GOING ON AND THAT YOU KNOW YOUR STUFF) I SCAN MY CAR ON A WEEKLY BASIS TO SEE HOW IS EVERYTHING WORKING AFTER THE MODIFICATIONS WERE MADE AND I AM SO SORRY TO DISSAPOINT YOU. THE CAR HAS BEEN RUNNING FOR 8 WEEKS AND NO ECU ERROR CODE OR PISTON PRESSURE LOSS HAS BEEN REGISTERED AND I RACE WHATEVER COMES MY WAY. THE CAR USUALLY RUNS WITH THE 3.2" PULLEY BUT IF I GO TO THE DRAG STRIP THEN I GOT A KIT THAT I CAN REPLACE THE ONE THE CAR HAS ON WITH THE SMALL ONE IN LESS THAN 5 MINS. SO I ONLY USE THE 2.4" WHEN I NEED THE EXTRA BOOST NOT ALL THE TIME AS YOU THINK I DO.ME TO USE THE ADDED CFMS UP THERE. THE AIRBOX IS NOT THE ORIGINAL IT IS MODIFIED TO ADD SOME MORE AND AS I SAID OVER 105MPG I CAN USE THE EXTRA CFMS AND THE LOOKS ARE AWESOME.

DOES NAMES REALLY MATTER? WHAT IS IMPORTANT IS THAT THEY DO WHAT THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO DO. I DO NOT CARE IF YOU CALL IT PCM OR WHATEVER THE HECK YOU WANT TO. WHAT IS IMPORTANT THAT WHEN I WANTED MY CAR'S COMPUTER MODIFIED I GOT WHAT I WANTED ON THE DYNO AND OUTSIDE THE DYNO AS WELL.

AND I AM SO SORRY YOU DO NOT HAVE A SUPERCHARGER IN YOUR CAR, THEY ARE REALLY FUN AND AN EASY WAY TO PUMP UP THE VOLUME.
THANKS ANYWAY FOR THE INFORMATION.

THE CAR RUNS WITH THE 3.2" PULLEY. I GOT A KIT THAT ALLOWS ME TO EXCHANGE PULLEYS IN LESS THAN 5 MINS IF I NEED THE ADDED PRESSURE. THE 2.4" HAS BEEN USED UNDER EXTREME CONDITIONS AND SO FAR HAS BEEN USED ONCE AND WAS NOT RACING THE CAYENNE S.

BUT THANKS ANYWAY FOR YOUR INPUT. REMEMBER EVERYTHING IS NOT ALWAYS AS WE THINK IT IS.

Re: OEM Wheel for 1998 GTP Bright Red

Thanks to all I found the wheel, there is a guy in Oregon that shipped me 2 for $179.00 each(43 shipping which is not bad) and the 225/60VR16 got them for 155 at the tirerack.com. The only thing I am waiting is for the SLP hood and related hardware. Thank you all for your help
