Bmw Hid

What parts would I need specifically to make the HID setup from a BMW X5 work on my p11 (thats excluding the housing)?

not sure what you mean, do you mean the ballasts and bulbs? If yeah, it might be easier to get an hid kit made for your bulb. (which is H4 i think)

Well, that would be that "distinct look" you are talking about. you could get the ballasts and the bulbs, but it won't give you that sharp beam. you need the blue projector lense to give you that piercing effect.

thats weak!! I thought that the X5's used different ballast and bulbs and what not, because out of all the BMW's with projector HID's, the X5 (feel personally) is totally in a league of its own.

so wait, either way... if the x5 uses H4's, can I still use the ballasts and bulbs, and install that in my car? (sorry if I sound illiterate to the subject)

Yeah, if the X5 uses H4's (like your G20) then you should be able to use them. However, I have a feeling getting BMW equipment will cost alot of money. you are better off getting an aftermarket HID kit, like Phillips, or Hella. I tihnk the reason you think the X% has such good HID's are becuase the X5 is one of the few SUV's that use HID's. So the headlights are higher up, therefore, can blind you easier.

no prob. Those aftermarket kits light it up pretty good, they just won't kill your eyes when you look into em.
