Installing new radio w/o Alarm problems 95 Jetta

Hey guys,

I was wondering if anyone could help me install an aftermarket CD player in my 95 Jetta. I tried once before but the alarm system went haywire and I had to put the regular one back in. Not sure if I could have left the CD player in and turned the alarm off or whatever, all I know is that alarm is damn anoying!

I was wondering if there is any advice to installing a new radio, or if there is a way to disengage the factory alarm so I don't run into the same problem next attempt. Also a wiring diagram from the radio would be helpful and save alot of guesswork =P.
