Question 1 ton turbo diesel transfer case fill plug?

I have a 1996 Chevy 6.5 Turbo Diesel 4*4 1-ton crew cab. I went to go check the fluid level in the transfer case and could not find the fill plug. I have two books that show where it is but I can not find. It is not where it is supposed to be. Is there a fill plug for this?

As a side note, is there a specific part of the 4*4 system on this truck I should worry about? Weak link? Just curious.

I didnt see it anywere. From photos it should be somewhere on the left rear face in the center of the roundish portion. No drain OR fill plug.
